Deep color for a Syrah. Silky texture a bit oaky with full fruit. Still holding up well but needs to be drunk now

similar to my last notes but less impressed. deep color, heavy oak and raspberry on the nose. licorice and sour cherry on the palate. Very lean with a short finish. poor QPR.

Deep red color, cherry and fruit nose. Lively fruits, cherry, berry, on the palate. ramps up mid way and falls off quickly. Overall a decent syrah but nothing spectacular.

This probably needs a lot more time. After 2 hours in the decanter it was still a bit tannic. Got better up till the 4 hour point. Probably not worth $40 as there is better stuff out there for less.

This was a nice little syrah. Having had issue with the alochol content of the Aussie Shiraz's as of late, this one with a modest (for these days) 13.9% and produced in the old world style made for a nice change. As noted by the other reviewer, the bottle is huge. Heavy like a champange bottle and the punt extends up at least 2+ inches (more than the Reidel "o" magnum decanter) which does make it easy to pour. Darker …

One of the nicest designs out there. But, what matter is inside, lest I be captured by the PR virus. One note--the bottle is freekin' as big as a Pax...I could do bicep curls with the thing. Oy. So, to the wine. Pours as dark …
