Extremely enjoyable but was consumed under non ideal conditions. Insufficient air at the outset, substandard stemware, and either too cold or too warm. Got a few left and am not worried about a handful of additional years in the cellar

OG Lunch (Churchill Street, Shoreview, MN) : Pale green gold color. Drank a glass over 45 minutes. Quite bright, lemon, slate, lemon chiffon, shaved lemon peel, tarragon, and white pepper. The savory palate adds in lemon wax and cut stone to the fresh lifted nose. Loved it. 93+ to 94pts.

Beautifully well balanced wine but somehow the Aubert Sonoma coast drunk alongside, a bit more enjoyable as less intense, easier to drink and more accessible

Enjoyed with grilled lobster, all harshness has resolved and had beautiful apple and white peach notes, smooth palate. Quite nice.

Brief impressions only. My wine of the night. A strikingly elegant expression of California Chardonnay, this remains firmly on the fresh and lifted side. Its light and airy texture is energized by a salty mineral core, giving the wine finesse and shape. The oak is beautifully integrated, the fruit stays restrained, and the wine as a whole is complex, balanced, and immensely drinkable. Decanting: Good from the go, no decant needed.

Very consistent with my prior notes and the community. Lemon-pear, nice minerality and standard, wonderful long finish.

It's always fun reading the pro notes, so full of super-specific flavors and aromas. This was fairly typical of what I get from Eastside. Not overly tropical, mainly citrus and pear, with notes of smoke and vanilla. Taut, with a firm line of acid. Because of the tautness, this never seems big to me, although it is quite flavorful with powerful aromas. This is a very good vintage of Eastside.

Rich and full in every way yet somehow complete and balanced as only Aubert can be. Phenolic quality with a fine underlying minerality. Impressive length. Very good indeed.

Another great bottle last night after a 2 hour SO; outstanding & ready to drink, no rush (unfortunately my last bottle...)

Brilliant, classic Aubert wine. Very smooth lemon-pear with great minerality and a smooth long finish.

A bit off , tangy , not smooth. Not up to snuff.

G5; 4*+9+4.5+8.5*+9+4.5*+4.5=94+ Riedel Performance Chardonnay glasses at cellar temp and warming. Do NOT drink cold! Pretty much pop, pour, drink. Pale yellow-gold color with nice clarity, but not necessarily "brightness." Strong aromatics typical of Aubert with ripe orchard fruits and "kerosene/petrol" notes. Mouthfeel is smooth, crisp with an alcohol/acid close. Flavors are certainly in the pear, apple, peach orchard with that consistent petrol finish, which is not distracting and is probably best described in some other manner (tropical/ pineapple/ butterscotch/ …

A beautiful chardonnay with a palate of peach, lemon rind and tangerine leading to a long, lush finish. Drank with an oven roasted branzino which my wife convinced me to make. I was pushing for swordfish. Oh well the things we do to make our ladies happy. Again, not too cold, the closer to room temperature the better.

Full bodied and confident in who it is. Delicious, and unquestionably Aubert

There is nothing like that tell-tale Aubert crisp minerality which the 2018 Eastside has in spades. Lemon zest and cashew nuts. Full saturation without ever feeling heavy.

Wow the 2018 Eastside continues to stun, having found a bit more balance to its rich, buttered citrus and grilled orchard fruit notes, but Aubert's opulence remains. Very, very good indeed.

Two hour decant. Deep golden color. Pineapple upside down cake and grilled pear dominate the rich nose. Plush, juicy palate. Fine, lingering, mouth coating acidity. This might be tied for best Chardonnay I’ve ever had. The only thing comparable is Corton-Charlemagne Grand Cru. Wonderful overall structure and mouthfeel.

Splash decanted for an hour; near perfection & one of the best Aubert chards that I have ever had, drink or hold. I have found that the 18s have needed time to come together & it looks like the time is now. We loved it & it was the perfect match for homemade linguini with cream, parmesan & white truffle (the season has begun!)

What a delicious wine. An expressive and complex nose. Wonderful mouthfeel and a wonderful long finish. Layers of lemon curd, pears, honeydew melons, pineapple and butterscotch. I wish I had bought more at release. Terrific effort by the Aubert team.

This is probably the best Aubert I've had. I havent had the Eastside before. A little more fuller than others, more complex fruit (some tropical notes). The oak there but now overpowering. Just an amazing Chard of this big, oaked style. Amazing wine making and wine.

Similar taste notes to last time, although overall a lot less austere than a year ago. Love the unusual and distinctive soft pineapple note that I shorthanded as “Açores pineapple” for anyone who’s had it. This took about an hour of air to really come into its own. Just entering its maturity window. No rush - should stay here or even improve a little over the next 3-5 years. Score: 94. Relative to expectations: ++
