This 50-50 blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc is an excellent value, and a tremendously satisfying drinking experience. The nose shows lifted black fruit with balsamic and chocolate touches. The palate is silky and elegant with dense tannins and crisp acidity supporting the cassis/blackberry core. Cloves, vanilla, coconut, licorice, and graphite add complexity. This is harmonized, focused and long.

Three Super Tuscans (and a Chardonnay) : Stabbed with the Coravin and aired in the glass for over an hour. Blackberry, plum, blueberry, graphite, mossy tree bark, a little tomato leaf, a little oak. Everything working together. Balanced. Bright acidity and sturdy tannins. Juicy berry finish. Quality Mid-Week full bodied wine without bearing overbearing Cabernet

PnP, and singing right out of the gate. Notes of ripe blackberry, black currant, and black licorice are buoyed by lively acidity and a slight tannic bite. Hints of tar weave in, lingering on the medium-long finish.

Decent by the glass serving at Don Angie NYC (fantastic food!). Acidity balanced out the past and steak, good pairing.

I was not in a social situation where I could really give this much thought. But I was able to decant it for 45 minutes first. This is really good! Better than I expected. Has the mouthfeel and fruit profile of a mid level SCM Cab blend like Domaine Eden or the “Cabernet” bottling from Ridge. But without the SCM menthol and with some Tuscan red earth. Not overly complex or nuanced. Pretty big and creamy but with enough acidity …

(Tasted after a short decant...) Excellent! The assemblage of fruit is broad and complex, and the wine is adorned with floral, perfumy, incense, and herbal grace notes. The tannins are still stiff at this stage...the wine is young, but nonetheless impressive. I'd suggest waiting another 4 years to open it.

Family brought this back from visit to winery in Tuscany. Decanted for 3-4 hours and served with roasted beef. Excellent. No notes taken but was drinking wonderfully
