I love this! Shy release Crisp, chalky, nutty mouthful with grilled pineapple. Absent are the honeyed notes when last tasted almost 2 yrs ago. A 45-second yellow apple finish. This bottle would've probably tasted the same 10+ years from now.

Modest, "PSSSSTTTT" upon opening. Nutty, grilled pineapple (honeyed, yet great acidity), no creaminess or mushroom/forest floor. A burp in every glass. Remarkable example of old Champagne, if that's your thing.

The 50 Big Bash (Harry's NYC) : Disgorged in 2000. This was all toasty and nutty and lots of age and very much showing that age (tasted older than the 73 DP for example). It's got a bit of white fruit and just a hint of sweet at the end. Drinks nicely. For me very enjoyable but need to like the aged champagne style.

Golden in color, nose very nutty and yeasty with noticeable butterscotch. Palate still very fresh also very nutty, full of finesse and very fine bubbles, fresh acidity, lovely aperitif. Peaked but can keep.

Lumber in the Mountains Update - Days 1 and 2. (Day 3 in progress).; 10/7/2010-10/8/2010 (Beaver Creek) : Extremely fresh, crisp, but a note on the nose that wasn't off, but slightly suspect. Not as good as this wine could or should be, but a fun drink nonetheless.
