Somewhat bitter red fruit with minimal tanins and a short finish. This is not a complex wine, but pleasant none-the-less.

Bright, dark ruby red. Not too complicated on the nose, red fruit (cherry, raspberry) with spice and wood undertones. More fruit on palate; medium/high acidity; medium/low tannins; mouthwatering; medium body with medium plus fruit finish. Simple wine for simple dishes. Good wine for the price.

Very tight at first with a closed nose but it opened up after an hour or so to a lovely fresh wine. Lovely fruits a clean palete with little bit of grip. Nose never really got going hence the lower score.

Nothing spectacular, but certainly a good bottle for the price.

Made primarily from Corvina and Rondinella, the wine has a lovely purple colour. The nose shows black cherries and kirsch. The palate is rich and full showing plummy fruit and a hint of cigar box character. Accompanied our tomato and olive fettuccini well.
