Aroma: cherry cola, red berries, vanilla, and baking spices. Palate: cherry cola, ripened red berries, bright acidity with a medium length finish. Initial sip was sweet, unbalanced and warming on the chest indicating high alcohol content. Paired with rosemary crackers and havarti cheese with a dollop of cranberry cherry Cabernet fruit spread. Dark red big body (14.4%) wine. Fruity nose. After 60 minutes opening beautiful plum and raspberry greeted the mouth. Very long pleasant finish with a hint of spice.

This bottle took a while to get going. Opened reticent and closed; over the next hour, cherry, black tea, spice on the nose and palate. Seemed long in the tooth at this point. Drink up.

Can't say it better than Buckeye: "A rich pinot noir, medium to full bodied, nice texture, well balanced, and a medium to long finish". Full-flavored notes of black cherry, blackberry and cinnamon on the nose and palate. Alcohol level appears to have risen with time, giving it a warmer, slightly sweet tone. Easy drinker.

Better than the Russian River appellation wine opened last month though still not up to the single vineyards. Medium deep ruby red color. Black raspberries, licorice, earthiness and hints of floral in the nose. Black cherries and black raspberries in the flavor. 2024 Nov: More than a year later, the wine has faded away a bit. 90. 93 in 2023 PnP. Very fine, light sediment. Nose: First open: papaya whiffs. Very nice bouquet 8/10. Cherry, light terpentine(?), rose petal, tea. Palate: 9/10. Medium body. Polished, balanced. Sweetness. After 2 hrs, there's spicy after taste accompanying the sweetness. So good. Finish: 9/10. Not a lot of subtlety about this one, a nice big lip-smacking pinot from KB. Very smooth, with a hint of structure lurking beneath all the dark red fruits and cherry Coke. Terrific alongside chicken cacciatore but would go better with sturdier fare like a pork roast or lamb.

WIML93 Tasted non blind. Garnet to dark garnet color in the glass, fairly clear looking. Nose of birch, berries and cherries. Flavors of boysenberries, cherries and raspberries. Medium to tart acidity, resolved tannin, full bodied. Drink now.

Nose is real subtle, light black cherry, hint of chocolate Palate is med plus acid and med plus alcohol, cherry and chocolate right away, balanced perfectly with the tannins, a bit of dust with age in the middle and tart berry to finish. Great mouth feel. A bit over the hill and still phenomenal.
