Moving on from my last note. This now has a nose. It’s earthy, red fruited and a touch of smoke. Mouth as before, maybe a bit of spritz on the tongue which I didn’t have before. Clean, linear, savoury but with a touch of ripeness. Really like this.

Non-french Pinot Noir (Must & Lees, Warren Street) : Great nose, somewhere between a fruit smoothie and a hoppy pale ale, both of which I like! Really interesting, sweet red fruit tempered by a green note that is not at all a bad thing. Good crunch as they say. Good to go, but deserving of more time surely, and has the structure to stay the course. Good wine.

TWS North London - Pinot Noir ex-France (Must & Lees, Warren Street) : Clean, precise, crunchy. A saline edge with gentle concentration, bright fruit, zippy acidity. Really got to forget about my remaining bottles and let them age.

(Non-France) Pinot Noirs of North London (Must & Lees, Warren Street) : Smelled fabulous - dusky and musky with a waft of summer pudding. Rather lean and saline on the palate, with a lovely crisp finish. Loved the depth of flavour without an ounce of excessive weight - and so pretty, too!

Probably the finest NZ Pinot I have had (though i have not had many). Def more Burgundy than the semi-Syrah wannabees of most NZ Pinot Noirs. This is just balanced with everything in moderation. I think it will get more interesting with some time too.

Clean and pretty, more mineral than fruit-driven, and with a crisp refreshment factor that made it food-friendly (although it was less sweet than I expected). Plenty of structure for ageing a while longer, though certainly ready to drink already. Everyone liked this.

This is good. It is light, at the savoury end of PN but with good levels of well defined red fruit. Little interest on the nose but the mouth is a delight. Not sweet or cloying but pure and linear. Very good indeed.

Very good, over delivers. The fruit is nice and strawberry flavoured and the balance is good. There’s a nice fragrance and floral character. Silky texture starting to develop. Good now but will probably get better. 3.5+

Lovely new world fizz to kick things off, which blows off and scents of cherry, strawberry and a nice little bit of farmyard, which is a big plus for me. Young but good to go, will try and resist a couple to try with a bit of age. Lovely stuff
