Light straw yellow color; green apple, toast, herb butter nose; tart pear, light nutmeg, herb butter palate with some balancing acidity; medium finish (14.4% alcohol)

Good California sauvignon blanc, a pale greenish gold color, long legs for a fume blanc and notes of melon and pear. A crisp clean taste on the palate of cantalope, honeydew, green apples and a touch of oak with a decently long finish for a wine of this varietal. At $20 a good buy for a wine of this quality. Underrated and overlooked.

a seriously great sauvignon blanc- tart- good acidity- lots of lemon and grapefruit with a hint of SB grassiness with a bit of a savory character- didn't seem to have any wood but there was a great mouthfeel that provided a bit of mellowness to the wine- i think this cost around $12-13- super value; went great with some pan roasted whole Bryan's branzini...

Sonoma-Napa Trip Day 1; 6/25/2009-6/26/2009 (Sonoma) : 90% stainless. $20. Tangy lemon lime fruit with a slight creaminess. Pretty good, but not taking any home.
