Kamen, Syrah, Sonoma Valley

This Kamen ‘19 Syrah tasted ridiculously great from start to finish. I’ve had Syrahs that are 200$ to 300$ and I’d love to put this up against those big boys. I know it will be on par or at least super close. Big, bold notes of toasted cherries, red fruit jam, dark berries, roasted meats, bacon strips, steeped florals, licorice, crushed pebbles, graphite, fresh herbs and vivacious notes added by Viognier. big syrah, very drinkable but will get better i think

One of a few remaining '17s sitting in my cellar..... Pnp'd last night to a juicy, big dark red/black fruited wine....hard to tell it was a Syrah. Very Cab like. very rich and pleasant; a bit tannic, let it sit for an hour

Gave this one a little more time and it delivered. All the previous goodness with some chocolate and grilled steak for good measure.

Plush, savory tannins and over-the-top black pepper. Tremendously supple mouthfeel. PnP, so I wasn’t able to give it time.
