Some Wine Tasted at the Zachys Auction; 10/27/2017-10/28/2017 (Charlie Palmer Steak - Washington, DC) : This wine just keeps getting better with more cellar time. The new oak is finally integrated and complementing the sweet black fruit and sweet spice. Meaty and rich. Good+ weight and length. Good balance, but I expect even greater balance in another year or three.

Casual Burg Dinner with Friends (The Bristol - Chicago IL) : Lots of fruit and spice that I enjoyed more than ever before from this great wine from this vintage. But I didn't find the right balance here. A bit too much new oak, slightly too ripe, slightly devoid of structure.

Drink 2 times within 1 month because it's very good at the moment. Great smell of terroir along with perfume. Mild wooden scent lies underneath which reminds me of 1993 Romanee-Conti but better performance. Very delicious with a very good finished. If anyone has this gem in the cellar, Don't miss its prime time. Drink now - 2028.........93-94/100...........

Bobby Kacher Tasting and Dinner (Knightsbridge - Northbrook IL) : Lean fruit with fair amount of oak spice on nose. Fruit comes through nicely on palate, quite accessible but more oak, tannin and acidity than I would prefer for a 2007. A bit harsh near finish.

Confrerie Burgundy Trip – Day 2 (Gevrey-Chambertin/Morey-Saint-Denis) : Aromatic cherried nose. Chewy tannins, high acidity and sour cherries on the palate which is a touch unripe. Green finish with medium length.

Bobby Kacher Dinner (Chicago, IL) : Dense and surprisingly red-fruited. Hard, raw structure, and some oak. Full, deep fruit. Lots of character. Very nice.

Bobby Kacher Dinner at Knightsbridge (Knightsbridge - Northbrook IL) : Red and black fruit on nose and palate. Some clear rough edges in middle and end.
