Domaine Jean Grivot Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Rouges

Coravin pour at 67PM. Light brick orange/red (dark room). Quite thin and fruit seemed to fade-away as tannin and acid take over on the finish. Not sure that more time will help. B/B+?

Pale/medium garnet core, wide pale mahogany rim. On the nose sweet strawberry fruit, florals, touch of game. Medium bodied, sweet red fruit, vanilla, soft tannins, balanced acidity, very good length, harmonious finish with a touch of soil and liquorice. Excellent, drinking well, should hold for a few years yet.

R: Clearm very light red N: Medium intensity of undergrowth, some notes of leather P: Lacking substance, body and fruit to balance alcohol. Not great for a 1er Cru for sure but have tasted worse.
