Medium bodied, good red fruit, medium-plus acidity, slight leather, light-medium tannins; finish is short-medium. Not a bad everyday wine. 84 Eh, on retaste an hour later, it seems a bit thin and lacking depth or complexity of its fruit. Kind of unbalanced. 82

Solid workhorse of a wine. It's rustic, brambly, a touch stemmy, but is attractive for its red and black fruit, plum, and spice aromas and flavors. There's good structure, pleasantly spiky acidity, and a dusting of cardamom on the finish.
