Decanted for about an hour. My last bottle of this not so successful vintage for Villerambert-Moureau. The nose shows some red fruit, cherry, but also a slight physallis/grapefruit aspect coming through. The palate is not that exciting, perhaps the fruit is fading, some tannins. A quaffer, nothing exciting. Oh well.

Decanted for over an hour. A rather dark purple. The nose is not all that enticing initially, but after another hour in the glass and dinner, it does start giving a bit of Syrah meaty notes. The palate has some tannins and a bit of a citrusy side taste along with spices and black fruit. Quite OK, has gotten better since I last tasted in July. 50+4+8+14+7=83

The nose on opening had a funky smell that told me to let the wine air for …
