Well, I'm missing something here since this is getting 90 from you all. It's only characteristic was butterscotch...no fruit whatsoever. OAK!! Maybe I waited too long to drink, but the color was good to the rim, albeit very light all the way compared to normal Zins. I'm used to power and alcohol and, in fact, only drink them on the weekends in case, you know, things get carried away. But this? Looked more like a light touch Franc or Pinot. …

Light and delicate aren't your typical Zin descriptors, but this was a nice change of pace. Paired very well with the T-Bone we had. Dominant red fruits that took a good hour of air time to materialize. Before I knew it the bottle was gone!!! Will buy again if I see it available.

Not your usual fruit bomb zin. Lighter bodied and dryer than that. Red fruit on the nose. The palate is lean and herbal, while the light fruit notes fade into the background. Alcohol medium+, acid medium, and the tannins are medium+ Very interesting take on Zinfandel. Hour decant recommended.

PnP good to go from the start. On day 2 fruit a little more restrained, but still concentrated and complex. Well balanced, smooth, spicy, and with a long finish. Blue, black, and red fruits. Black cherry and blackberry predominate. This was a great value.

A good example of the way that Zinfandel grapes can be fermented into very different wines. Transllucent reddish-plum color. Very light nose only suggestive of fruit. Light red cherry on the tip of the tongue--I can't think of too many Zins that show that, Lots of astringency as the wine passes back--a minty sensation without tasting mint. Some still serious tannin--bravo. Not nearly as full-bodied as so many Zins, but, absolutely, a grownup's wine.

Very light in color - kind of a light rosy, translucent red. A little more minerality than DCV or RRV zins. Peppery. Lean but not thin. Well made. Interesting for sure because it's so different, but I prefer the other styles.

Wow. Popped snd poured. One of two 2013 zins in my recent Last Bottle marathon and the other one was pretty far down the maturity curve, so I didn’t know what to expect here. This was youthful and vibrant, with gorgeous dark fruit and ample tannin and structure suggesting a long life ahead. Really nice spiciness to this, adding complexity. And despite the tannin this is relatively soft and approachable. Outstanding. 92.

Rating based on Day 2.... really integrated over night... smooth and soft with purple fruits and flower flavors/palate - think violet and lavender... but subtle. Very good QPR.

Delicious. Drinking very well at the moment. Ruby in the glass, nose is a bit shy with dark fruits and violets, pronounced palate, integrated and balanced, Mirabelle plum, black cherry, cacao, dried berries, nutmeg, note of cedar, leather, hint of mushroom earthiness, acidity is medium, body medium+, long finish. Single vineyard from one of California’s oldest and least known AVA’s

Strong Zin flavors of fruit and spice, but with a savory edge, not the sweet, jammy, milk chocolate character of so many Zins. A little unexpected but appealing and tasty. Has held up well but definitely drink now—I think it’s only going to go down from here.

From the single vineyard in the Lime Kill AVA this Zinfandel opened with a savory meaty tone which blew off revealing red plum, raspberry and I swear a hint of chocolate mole. This is drinking amazing at 7 years old - balanced and elegant for a CA Zin. No Jam to be seen!
