Simply amazing, reductive at first, opening with more floral notes and gaining weight with more are. Incredible nose, very Burgundian, great terroir driven sylvaner.

Amazing bottle, a little shy upon opening but after about half an hour it began to show its true character and potential. Lots of minerality and citrus, quite high acidity but great balance with all the other elements of the wine. Quite Burgundian, great to drink now but can definitely age for a couple more years.

To say I was excited to open this would be a serious understatement. The wines made by Carsten are pure, beautiful, and such a wonderful expression of the place from which they are from. I love his Silvaner Alte Reben and was really looking forward to trying this one. This right away shows that it is a very serious bottle of wine. There is something texture and a touch of inner sweetness of fruit that reminds me of great Chardonnay. …
