Les Vignobles Gueissard Côtes de Provence Le petit Gueissard

Light smooth Rose.

Very pale salmon in color, this wine (35% Grenache/35% Syrah/30% Cinsault) revealed watermelon, strawberry, white grapefruit and minerals on the nose. The mouth feel is medium bodied with supple strawberry and citrus undertones. The finish was medium in length with additional notes of watermelon, minerals, strawberry and bright acidity. 12.5% abv. Purchased for $8US, this rose' wine is an excellent value and a wonderful pairing with my artisan, wood-fired pizza. Imported by Artisan Wine Selections, Inc., Malvern, PA.

First nice weekend of the year in NJ, first rose. Very nice for the price. Nice balance and a little backbone too. Great to sip next to the still-covered pool!
