Bright, light yellow. Gentle effervescence. Toasted bread, nutty notes on finish. Definitely can taste the age on this- my well stored bottle seems to be on its downward trajectory of development.

Mostly Champagne and Chambolle (Imperial Treasure Paragon) : Blind, L1502121114, honeysuckle, touch nutty, high acid, good body, revealing floral, caramel after an hour. Lovely Champagne.

Mainly Champagnes and Chambolles (but most brought Champagnes) : My contribution. Interesting that most guessed this as post-2000s and that the table was divided between a house and a grower. Rich but delicate; baked (not bruised) apple and intense brioche notes. Loved the textural depth and balance. First time trying this tête de cuvée and very impressed, at peak.

Fantastic wine. Poured in large and broad glasses. Plenty of mousse. Delightful aromas of secundary characters. Well developed and certainly at a great place. Long and elegant with tiny bubbles. Great balance between the fruit and acidity. Both long lasting Drunk with Bonna and Henke.

Final bottle from a 4 pack...last had a bottle about 1.5 yrs ago. A very pretty, mature Champagne, 50% PN and 50% Chard. Bubbles fading, but still dancing around with leesy and nutty notes, hiding some green and red apple and lemon flavors amongst the lovely finishing acidity. Drink up, this one is certainly at peak.

Made from 50 % chardonnay and 50 % pinot noir. Relatively dark golden colour. Very oxidised at this stage, almost sherry-like, very pleasant and coherent. Very ripe and mature, but retained acidity. Oxidised w. caramel, nuts and matured cheese. Splendid finish, splendid wine. Drink.

Lovely vintage Champagne, last consumed almost 3 years ago. Beautiful autolytic notes, the bubbles are softening with bottle age, but the citrus, green apple, white pepper, and warm bread-crust flavors are still going strong. A dollop of cane sugar is noted on the bright and med-length finish. This wine is certainly at peak, possibly just past it, it is ready to consume in it's mature glory. Quite good.

Glass: Gabriel Gold. Very nice golden color (more on the pale side). Very nice autolysis notes, with some baked apple and some roasted nuts/almonds. The nose shows a nice complexity and the same goes for the palate. Very nice and fine bubbles. Such a nice mouthfeel. The body is really nice (not too broad and not too lean). The finish is long. I need to highlight that the acidity is just perfect. Note, I had not the impression that we're …

Found another bottle of these in my cellar, purchased for nuts some time ago by auction, what a great nose and especially mouthfeel, quite sweet yellow fruit here, some pears and ripe apples, always reminds me that BRUT in Champagne is not really dry if it comes to other zones......., but no complaints, really great balanced showing with some aeration, and the icing on the cake is this delicious biscuits aroma in the lingering finish, o.k., this is Champagne typical …

A tiny bit of sulphur on the nose upon opening, but that blows away. Clearly a well aged bubbly, with very small perlage, beautiful nose of nuts and yeast, slight acidity. Opened it for tonight 5 hrs before drinking and reviewing right after PnP. Don't see it pushing 94-95 region, though. Most certainly NOT 150 Euros a bottle stuff IMHO

The nose was slightly skunky, but that had no correlation to the palate. Wow this was good and got better over the course of a couple hours. Plenty of bubbles left with good acidity and rich flavors. No signs of toast or brioche.

Riesling and ripe Bordeaux (Restaurant Brunnenstube, Beinstein) : Clear, pale golden color. Clean, fine, medium intense nose. Brioche, yeast, yellow stone fruit. Deep and quite complex. On the palate very intense, beautiful acidity, fine mousseux. Great tension and long. Seems quite young and with upscale potential. 92-93+

Gylden gul farge med tydelig utvikling. Beskjedne bobler i glasset. Godt moden nese. Sekundær med toner av sopp og skog, gammel båt og sjøbod. Fiskegarn. Mer livlig mousse i munn, men falmer etter en halvtimes tid. Godt utviklet også her. Høy friskhet, men blir nok noe skrinn, og vinen føles hul fra midtpartiet og ut. Syredrevet og småbitter i avslutning.

Huge concentration in flavour, almost too intense. Good medium high acidity. Nose unfortunately is a bit too... delicate to match the palate. But overall a nice wine still with some potential. Lot 12xxxx

Bottle 2 of 4. Quite nice, very autolytic, yeasty notes on the long and vinous finish. Not sure I will let my remaining bottles rest much longer.

New Year's Champagne Madness (Casa Gill) : One of my wines of the night. After recently tasting the 95 and 96, and loving those, this was more confirmation that this is maybe my favorite Tete de Cuvee..sad it's being discontinued to make way for Hemera. Anyway, beautiful richness with toast, but backed up by clear citrus and floral character. Zippy acidity and very lifted flavors, with just a touch of caramel.

This was an amazing Champagne. The bubbles were small and the color was an amber. I had been saving this bottle and was happy that it aged so well. Very nice fruity notes and a beautiful finish.

Rich, bold and lacking some vibrancy. Tasty but if this bottle is representative, time to drink up soon.
