Santa Julia Malbec El burro

A pretty tasty Malbec but not much detail or layering. Straightforward, a little too tangy and light bodied for me. Not really any of the natural barn hay I�m used to for natural wines.

Having spent time in Mendoza and the Uco Valley I had expectations of a quality wine even at the price point. Not up to my past experiences. Deep purple. Clear as far as can tell. On the nose mostly dark fruit almost prune like. Not much else. The palate is similar with high acidity and tannins. That is what persists on the finish. All in all a very one dimensional experience.

Very fruity style Malbec, one pour. Delicious
