Past its prime. Barely resembles an Oakville wine any more. Flavors are disjointed. Drink them up if you still have them.

Very closed when first uncorked, but opened up after 1 hour with no decanting. I don't think it will improve with further age, but it is drinking very nicely now. We purchased this wine at the winery in 2005. We were told that the grapes came from Andy Beckstoffer's part of the To Kalon vineyard, but they were unable to put To Kalon on the label due to a legal dispute with Mondavi over rights to the name.

I doubt it will improve much with more age.

Opened bottle and reinserted cork for four hours before drinking. This wine is well balanced with flavors of cherries, black currants, and a touch of mocha. Should improve further with age.

Tasting at winery. Plum and spice on nose. Plum, currant flavors, also with good spice. Backward and less accessible than its Rutherford counterpart, this wine will need at least another 3-5 years in cellar for the fruit to come out from behind the tannins.

This is my 2nd bottle of this wine. Opened not decanted. Pretty much the same as before: tannic, sour / cherry tasting, tongue and teeth coating. Drinkable but it definitely needs age and / or (fingers crossed) improvement.

Purple red color, cherry nose, dry, tannic and tongue coating. Needs time to decant. Will retry tomorrow night.

I think this will turn into a very nice wine. Drinking well now, a lot of fruit on the palate. Quite tannic at this stage but I think it will integrate with some bottle time.
