Woah the balance is amazing. This is crazy, must buy all I can get. Peach tropical, apple, calvados. Surprisingly little petroleum for a 15 year old wine. The color is amber. The mouth is amazing. An impossibly young and puristic bottle of Auslese from Thomas Haag. Somewhat reduced and introverted at first, and while this didn't actually change all too much after a week in the fridge, the wine became much more fleshed out. Lemon/lime en masse, green apple, apricots, sour cherry and redcurrant with elderflower, sour pineapple and yuzu. Lean and racy, barely tastes sweet... the last 2012'ers I've had have all been showing so well, so I was hoping this would be somewhat …

Deep amber colour, better on the 2nd day, the high acidity is perfectly balanced by the sugar content. Not the most complex Riesling Auslese long gold capsule, but quite delicious. Served in a Zalto white wine glass at 9C.

Apricot, lime peel. Very ripe and sweet but balanced by high acidity. Thick viscous mouth feel with a little honeyFinishes with bursts of lemon drops and a little orange peel. Much better on the 2nd day.

Dinner at Dibbs's : I have the worst luck with German Rieslings, every 1 in 3 bottles is corked for me. Sweetness covered the cork taint so some people still enjoyed this.

Still very young

Lemon, apricot, honey, honeycomb. Rich and concentrated throughout the palate - almost hard to drink too much of it due to the concentration. While the acid is prominent as with all 2010 rieslings, I perhaps expected a little more raciness. Hard to judge - I believe there is a remarkable wine in here but needs a lot more time (10 years??) to show its stuff.

Yellow colour, nose and taste Orangepeel, quite mature, expected more

Very balanced, perfect, ripe acid and not to sweet. In the beginning it just lacks some grip in the middle and some length at the end. After three days in the fridge it gained some body, sweetness and weight in the middle and had an impressive length. Thus let it breath for prefect enjoyment.

AP #14. Half-bottle. Light golden. Nice primary fruit on the nose. More green and orchard fruit rather than tropical. Lightly sweet. I expected more richness for a Lange GK. For the vintage, surprisingly the acidity wasn't electrifying. Good, drinking nicely now and very true to the house style.

Mature Classified Growth Bordeaux gathering at Lavandou (Washington DC) : Fresh pear, white fruits and flowers. Obviously very young but expressive and delicious. Just darn tasty yet very complex and serious wine.
