Below expectations. First sip is nice with raspberries, strawberries and mushrooms, but straightforward and dies quickly. Quite warm base more Spanish then Austrian or Northern Italian, fairly strong alcohol attack, very short finish. Won’t buy again.

Bought a couple of these in a discount sale in a northern Emirate wine shop. Rather nuanced structure and tannin in this Pinot Noir where I had no expectations whatsoever. Needs a couple of hours to unlock more of the fruit, tannin still reasonably prevelent - or give it a couple more years but this was a genuine surprise with a truly Burgundian feel. It’s all there.

1,200-1,400ft. Warm vintage, people were crying out that it would be a 100pt vintage. Small portion of WC, similar attempt to Porer, to combat the effects of climate change. 15% for a couple of weeks. Red cherry fruit. 3 parcels of the vineyard, only one is what they really focus on. Red cherry and mineral. Nice dangle to it’s angle.

7 Days in Italy II; 2/17/2019-2/23/2019 : Challenging vintage for PN. 5-10% Whole Cluster for 2 months. Generally there are three parcels for Krafuss, 1 is earlier ripening. In 2015 only the one core parcel was used. Medium minus body, medium minus tannin, honestly, just a schosh. Oak doesn’t show and there’s fruit that softens up the palate, but still the tannin shows a hard edge to things.
