A well made, balanced and rewarding Tempranillo, combining dense dark berry aromas, liquorice, vanilla and spices with earthy notes and umami. Still evolving. Give it 5 years to further improve. PS: the wine very much improved the next day, gaining complexity and expression.

Really enjoyable wine. I drank it in 2024 and this seems like a really good age for this wine. Nice balance between fruit and tannins.

Elegant and already approachable Crianza made from a Tempranillo based blend with 20% Garnacha and 5% Mazuela & 5% Graciano, aged for 22 months in 80% FR and 20% US oak and 9 months in bottle. Deep ruby colour. Medium+ intensity aroma of cherries, plums, leather, spices, vanilla, violets, strawberries. Medium+ body, elegant, oaky with good integration, medium+ silky tannins, flavours of cherries, spices, chocolate and vanilla hints.

After an impolite service in restaurant Álbora I just crossed to the other side of the steet to have dinner at La Colonial de Goya. Friendly waiters, poor food and short wine list. This bottle isn't yet ready. It is lovely with food but excessively oaky and fresh. Needs time to develop some complexity but really promising at this point. Lo compre con grandes esperanzas despues de la alta puntuacion en Decanter Enero (93). Buena carga de frutos rojos, ahumados, incluso cierto aire mineral. Y aunque es bastante sabroso, hay algo del conjunto que no me convence. Good stuff. Bit of tar on the nose, and vinyl. Well integrated, smoky, juicy, decent linger but not palate smothering. Nice pucker. Quite focused, intense taste - draws the palate inwards rather than outwards. Quite chewy but not monolithic.
