This wine has arrived at a very nice place. Dark ruby color, big nose of raspberry and plum. Nicely structured, with ripe fruit - raspberry predominates - and a sweet, tangy complexion. Been looking for a good time to open this bottle and now is a good time.

Strong fruit, maybe menthol, and some vanilla after it opened up...

Ripe and jammy blackberry and licorice notes. Tastes great from start to finish but with little complexity.

Very typical of this grape. Lots of black fruits, menthol and liquorice on the nose - quite expressive after a 2/3 hour decant. Give it time to open up. Good dark fruits, a touch soft more liquorice, earth and herbs. Lacks a bit of tannic structure making it easy to drink. Well extracted and scope for development with bottle age. Good.

Decanter New World Fine Wine Encounter (The Royal Lancaster Hotel, London W2) : This slightly rustic mourvedre shows plum fruit and spice on the nose. The palate is rich, full, powerful and slightly tannic. It ends with sweet round tannins.

Discovering Wine : This is a wine that definitely gets your attention. Nose of raspberry, currants and cloves. It also has an earthy (mushroom) note that is subtle. The taste is Pepper! and blackberry and plum. The pepper flows from mid-palate through the finish. It is strong but does not overpower the wine. Maybe needs a little time to bring the focus of this together.
