Ruby to the rim. Lovely upfront fruit. Cherry with hints of black fruit. Rolls across the pallet to a medium finish. Got better after an hour in the glass. Will be better next year and last for many more On the old scale a 92

Very dark, bold, and extracted. Loads of ripe fruit (berry, plum) along with a good balance of oak. Not to be confused for a Bdx!

Purple to the rim. Somewhat closed at present. Full bodied medium finish lush on entry but closes to tannin in the middle. I think another year or or two will have this showing better This will last another 5 to 7 years before going downhill

This estate Cabernet continues to drink well especially with a one hour + decant. Had neighbors over to pair with pizza and everyone enjoyed! Dark fruits, bold but not to the point of overpowering. Good acidity and balance. I expect this to continue to cellar well, given its 1.5L!

Finally got around to this magnum. On the PNP lots of blueberry, and cherry on the nose. I'm tasting a nice acidity and not the over powering fruit you often get with a Napa Cab. As I decanted it was a red purple color, very different again from the inky purple of California cabs. The first taste is nice, although I think 30 minutes or so might improve the alcohol taste. Enjoying the finish and about to have some pizza …

Pretty classic Napa cab. Fruit, oak, vanilla. It won't knock your socks off, but will pair well with a steak dinner.

This is drinking quite nicely right now. Not a powerhouse cab, yet it checks off all the cab 'boxes' ... nice balance of fruit, tannins and acidity. Enjoyable.

Deep purple color with slow legs. Oak, cassis and dark berry on the nose. Chewy palate of plum, black cherry, espresso and a bit of pepper. Long leathery finish. Should have a few more years of life but drinking real well now.

This silky wine is a clear dark purple. The nose offers plenty of rich dark fruit, like black cherry and plum. There are rich flavors of classic blackberry, cocoa, and black tea on the palate. This Napa Cabernet Sauvignon is certainly not a fruit bomb, though, and the grippy tannins and lively acidity are in excellent balance. The ABV is 15.1%.

A little young, oakey and jammy at this point but much better than the Clos Pegase I remember from twenty years ago. They have obviously made strides. They seem to be copying Silver Oaks style now. I suspect these will settle down with a few years in the cellar and be quite good.

Ruby to the rim. Lots of Black fruits some drying tannins that develop more the longer it is open. Good now but probably better in 2 to 3 years. Medium finish Will try again in another year.

A short decant took a little of the heat off- there was some alcohol to go with the spice on the nose. Fine tannins and restrained fruit, it’s a little tightly wound at the moment but even so enjoyable now. There is some class here- Can be drunk now but may be better with a year or two.

Closed nose, some mid palate fruit. Finish drops off only some fruit with a lot of tannins. Need time but does it have structure to go another 5 years to smooth out tannins?

very dark garnet, very nice nose of dark berries and a bit of Asian spice; in the mouth the notes of blueberries and blackberries dominate, with a bit of soy sauce on the finish. Very long, quite balanced; the tannin aren't still fully resolved... even after a long decant. I'd hold this for a few years, but it's very enjoyable now.

Opened 30 minutes before pairing with pan-seared top sirloin steaks. A medium ruby in the glass, thinning out to slightly bricked edges. The intriguing nose features spicy green asparagus, black cherry, cassis and vanilla. Medium-bodied on the palate, with very good intensity and concentration, the asparagus character blew off after 30-45 more minutes, leaving a very characterful, solid effort still going at the 14-year mark! Very well done!

No recent notes on this, but opened 1 hour before being shared with guests at our Center's annual Holiday Party. A dark, nearly opaque ruby/garnet robe, the nose on this 2000 Napa cab was intoxicating! Cassis, blackberry and black currant, forest floor, a touch of loamy mushroom and toasty oak. Initially medium-full and satisfyingly rich on the palate, with nicely moderate intensity and concentration, this was an excellent pairing with steak and crab. This also displays some very nice secondary …

PnP'ed through vinturi, drank with KC strip steak. Really pleasantly surprised by this wine. Opaque in the glass with long legs in the bowl. Nose of dark fruit and a hint of oak. Good balance on the palate with blueberry, graphite, and the right amount of oak but not over the top. Medium finish. Drinks like a good Rutherford cab at 60% the price. Too bad it was my only bottle.
