A lightish colour, with a touch of brown; fragrant, elegant, with some Vosne spice and red fruits; quite intense but rather light in weight. Mature, but should keep well.

The middle aged, secondary magic was taking form on this bottle- cinnamon stick, dried roses, incense with a good base of dried red cherry fruit. With air time, one finds a bit of truffle/mushroom nuances that are just giving way to the early stages of some sous bois magic. Very spice-driving with the cinnamon/clove action, making this delightful for drinking right now. Supple, integrated tannins already with low-key acidity. This should hold well for a bit but is certainly drinkable …

I had this once before and it was corked, this time, wow. In the glass it was actually a very light and pale colour with clear bricking. Some at the table thought 80s burgundy from the colour. The nose was also a delightful array of secondary and tertiary notes, but the palate still had a lot of fruit. I called 2000s from a lighter vintage (2001 or 2007) as there were lots of red fruits and gold acidity. Quite a …

shared with pat at selkirk manor. celebrating open that bottle night. paired with prime fillet mignon. after a fifty year wine journey, this is probably the most expensive wine that we have tasted. i selected this wine for tonight due to a lack of consensus amongst professional reviewers and other ct members regarding recommended drinking range. i did not want to risk losing this gem to the ravages of time. for such a significant wine, i should have taken written …

This was maturing nicely. Floral nose, lovely minerale, dense delicious. Good fruit concentration with dark berries. Got better with more air.

I should have decanted this one. Initially fairly closed, it did open in the glass over the course of the evening. As with the 2002, tons of Vosne spice on the nose, also red fruit and soil, with a mild stems character. Long finish. This one needs more time.

A bright colour, with medium depth; slightly exotic, fragrant fruit; elegant, medium weight, but with good persistence and length. A stylish wine which is still quite fresh and should keep well for some years yet.

Needed a lot of air, opened for a few hours and decanted before it was more approachable. Lovely nose of spices and flora. Could cellar for a couple more years. Good structure.

Was muted and tight when first opened up. Definitely needs air. With time shows a bit wilder and deeper red fruit, spices and becomes more alluring.

This was ok, but overall disappointing. First bottle of Gaudichots for me. The nose was a bit muted and then slowly revealed some smoky red fruits, damp earth, and spice. The palate was a bit thin and lacked the concentration and intensity I was expecting given the pedigree of the vineyard. Oh well... maybe this bottle was simply off given the other positive reviews.

Wonderful juice. Classic meaty Vosne nose, tannins almost fully resolved. A surprisingly good bottle from Potel, of which not many are left since Forey acquired the parcel. Drink up or hold for another 5 years.

Burgundy Dinner with Friends (S.K.Y. Restaurant - Chicago IL) : Lots of mature red cherry with savory spice along with earth and mushroom. While not past its peak, I doubt there is upside from here. Good weight and length.

this has evolved quite a bit since I last tried it. moving a bit away from the red fruits, and adding a bit more spice. Good wine.

A somewhat pale colour; a very fragrant nose; the palate is fresh, elegant and taut, with slightly exotic fruit and a hint of violets; rather delicate and a little lightweight, but very stylish.

A beautiful and captivating nose that just burst from the glass. Agree with the beef stock comment, red berries and cherries. Elegant and drinking beautifully.comments of a mini la tache are imho accurate. Wish I had more.

During a Confrerie 2007 BYO tasting dinner, so just short impressions. No surprise on the overall vintage performance, the 2007 are mostly light and harmless compared to better vintages. TN: Nice nose of red fruit with licorice and dark fruit, grape stalks notes too, characterful. Lighter but good palate presence, quite firm tannins still, but not rustic. A very good 2007 effort.

Nose of cherries, floral notes and stems. Light bodied palate with good persistence but could use a bit more flesh to round out.

This was slow to emerge so I left it overnight in the fridge and came back to it the following night, whereupon it had become much more expressive. It is light but extremely elegant; notes of beef stock, red fruits, earth, some spice and herbs on the nose, and some nice medium-bodied sweetness and again herbal notes on the palate. Lovely if not profound, it drinks well now with air but should repay patience.

A fairly light colour; a perfumed nose, showing red fruits (raspberry/cherry); medium weight, silky, very elegant palate, slightly exotic and showing good persistence; not a heavy wine, but fine nonetheless.

A light colour, with a touch of brown; a fragrant, perfumed nose of raspberry and cherry; the palate has medium depth with some richness, elegance and good length. There was a slightly unpleasant earthiness at the end which detracted somewhat, although it became less evident with time.

Clear Vosne right away; lots of brown baking spices on top of cherry, touch of mineral. Eventually giving way to tea spices. Very subtle but with no absence of real material at work. Good cut and clarity to the flavors. Drinking well now.

Vosne spice nose, rose petals. Seductive sweetness. If anything it could be a bit longer perhaps. But a great mini La Tache.
