Very tight cork, again seeming to be almost glued in. Needed the Ah-So to break the seal before being able to use a normal corkscrew. Deep mature browning garnet. Deep black fruit, with lots of farmyard brettiness, leather and horse sweat. The more shitty brett notes do largely blow off, with aeration, quite quickly, and you get more gamey, grouse-like aromas, along with blackberries, some red fruit, and some floral perfume. Note taken immediately on decanting: Good colour: mature garnet, but not over-mature and no bricking. Black, sweet fruit overlain by a ripe farmyard full of bretty aromas, with leather and some cherry fruit coming to the fore, as the bretty stink fades. Soft, mature palate. A little dried out maybe, but that's only on the attack. Soft, suede-like tannins on the palate. Pretty decent, fruit and acidity. Probably the best bottle so far of this 6-pack. Quite attractive.

It was that bad as I assumed on basis of other recent tastingnotes. Just when was popped open it had a bit too much barn on the nose but just half an hour on decanter got rid off it. Nose had some lovely dried red cherries, spicies and leather. On the palate it's medium bodied with smooth mouthfeel and nice acidity. The tannins are completely gone. Garnet core and rim. Intense nose of over-ripe strawberry, vanilla and aniseed with a whiff of sweet silage. Medium to full-bodied with rounded tannins. Lovely mature fruit character with sweet strawberry balanced by an appetizing sour red fruit note. Drinking at it's peak now.

A little horsey funk on the nose along with plenty of dark, sooty things. There is good presence in the mouth with the iron laden blackberry fruits packing a power punch. It finishes with drying tannins and whilst just a little chunky got along particularly well with slow roasted duck.

Neither myself nor Elisabet found this special wine to be good. Probably in some way destroyed. Seemed to have started a second fermantation and almost seemed to be fizzy. Unfortunately I have another 11 bottles from a normally excellant wine. Let us hope the other ones are better.

Not a stellar Pesquera, but showing fairly well now. Color is impeccably bright and youthful, showing deep extraction. After a decent nose of cherry, tar, earth and leather, a somewhat out of balance wine emerges with prominent tannic stucture and decent acid, but with a fairly hollow midpalate. Respectable length, but not interesting nor multifaceted. Not an entirerly pleasurable package at this moment.

13% A tight cork - almost glued to the inside of the neck of the bottle. Mature colour. This is a bit dodgy. Fruitless nose - just lots of farmyardy brett and sweaty saddles. Soft and full on the palate. Very even and dull and a bit green. Quite severe acid on the finish. Something wrong with this bottle. Not rated.

13% abv. Signs of slight recent seepage on the cork. Excellent, even blackberry juice colour. Nice nose: vanilla oak immediately evident, then plummy dark fruits and a bit of brett. Very good attack. Immediately enticing. Warm, ripe fruit initially, but then the wine builds in structure. Elegant with nice tannins on the finish. Very Good. (probably experienced somewhat accelerated ageing due to the mechanical failure of the cork.)
