A nice adult Tempranillo. The nose is quite shy at first, with some cherry, meaty, dried fruit, and iron qualities, and it really takes time to get to know you. With time though, the firm tannins become a lot more familiar and approachable, and notes of fig, prune, molasses, and almond come out. I think we’re early in the drinking window here, and while it's not the most complex, it's just so damn charming.

Vino de Pago procedente de una zona de Castilla-La Mancha situada a 150 km al sur de Madrid, elaborado con uvas Cencibel (Tempranillo) y envejecido durante 12 meses en barricas nuevas de roble francés y americano. En copa me pareció más ligero que los Tempranillos de Ribera, Toro o Rioja que suelo beber, pero, en cualquier caso, es un vino armonioso, expresivo y rico, destacando una mezcla de frutas licorosas, clavo y caramelo. A very good wine. Sea stones on the palette, which is unique for me. I thought it would pair well with bold seafood dishes, such as clams in a tomato sauce.
