Cork disintegrated so I poured through a filter

Opened this in 2016, expecting it to be past its prime. It definitely reminded me of an old world cab, with more notes of bell pepper and olive than of fruit or cassis. It did feel like it was missing something on opening, but developed nicely as the bottle sat open for about 45 minutes.

Perhaps my last bottle was flawed, this tasting it's an OK wine. Not a heavy-hitter, this clocks in at a little over 13% abv. Very little front palate, grippy middle, and it falls off fast on the back palate. Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied. Decent nose of blue and dark red fruit, slight oak. Nice dark fruit with a hint of green bell pepper. Vibrant fruit but not a lot of secondary flavors. Medium bodied, balanced structure, & easy drinking cab.
