First Trip to Napa Valley and San Francisco: Pinot Noir Addition; 10/1/2015-10/10/2015 (Napa Valley and San Francisco) : At Maritime Wine Tasting Studio with India. Color: Medium garnet with a touch of ruby Nose: Flowers, more specifically violet. Palate/finish: Smooth, light body and tannins with a moderate finish. Little bit of tart cherries. Downside is the metallic after taste. Opinion: My favorite of the three pinots tried today.

Fruit forward, ripe, and somewhat stewy nose. The smooths out on the palate, featuring very good acidity, pleasant texture, and a respectable finish.

Spicy on the nose but with good fruit on the palate, has a harder, Burgundian edge to it. Frankly, this is a find. Maybe its just the first glass? I shall investigate. Maybe just a touch reductive...
