Rancho Ponte Rancher's Reserve

I hate to give this bottle a rating like I did to one of Max Ponte's wines, but this one isn't holding the structure that I thought or expected. The bottle popped with a red stain. The nose out of the bottle was floral. The wine itself was all fruit up front, but there was a hint of complexity with some kind of fig or plumb that wanted to show through, but barrel aging was lacking. There was no oak …
