A Fine Umbrian Evening (Grant's place) : It was hard to read this one initially as it was kind of cold. Pineapples were initially all I got, as it warmed up I found some white asian pear along with some 7-up or sprite style citrus flavor. Pineapple juice and those asian pears really dominated the palate for me, very refreshing and light on the palate. Nice weight in the mouth along with a nice crisp acidity to wrap everything up. …

Grant's Sagrantino Dinner Party (Portland, OR) : Grapefruit and green apples come through on the acidic nose of this wine. Light honeydew melon comes onto the palate right away, followed by some pineapple, and some smooth acidity. The wine is lighter than expected, and there's a hint of bitterness early on the mid palate mixed in with ripe apple flavors, but the melon flavors last nicely.
