Good. Dark ruby to the rim. Dark fruits, pepper, earthiness. Delicious and goes with a wide range of food -- grilled or smoked chicken to steak.

Good/Very Good. Classic northern Rhone structure -- bacon-y, earthy vegetation, hint of white pepper on the finish. A remarkable Virginia wine. <Wow/Very Good/Good/Fair/Plonk>

Good/Very Good. This wine was even better the second night. It revealed some vegetal character, including some green pepper. It retained its spicy white pepper finish. This is a very nice Virginia wine with some Rhone character. <Wow/Very Good/Good/Fair/Plonk>

Good/Very Good. Dark and inky. Nose of cherry and smoke. Plums and smoky cherries on the palate, and finishes with a touch of white pepper. I bought this when I visited the vineyard, stuck it in my cellar and forgot about it. It's really much more than I would expect from a Virginia winery. A real treat. <Wow/Very Good/Good/Fair/Plonk>
