Domaine Bruno Dufeu Bourgueil Cuvée Grand Mont

Nose: Wet clay, detritus, faint stemmy blackberry. Palate: fading blackberry fruit, sharp bitterness, herbal cola, tar, jagged tannins. Looking back over my tasting notes from a couple years ago, there's quite a bit of similarity; however, this wine has become more bitter and angular with additional time in the bottle. While it's still good and may turn a corner down the road, it certainly hasn't improved over the past two years or so.

Nose: Blackberry stems, cocoa powder, musty funk, really nice. Palate: Woody stems, barely ripe dark plums on the finish, faint bell pepper, chalky tannins, bit of nondescript oxidative fruit character on the finish.
