Drunk after dinner, followed an oxidative wine tasting. Big port, lacks acidity, lacks excitement. Has a few layers, but not overly complex.

Lovely. Fresh, but not too young.

Still very youthful and bright ruby, lovely ripeness and silky structure, deliciously sweet and inviting - really excellent and still bags of life

Delicious aromas of figs, raisins and prunes. Feels relatively dry, light weighted and structured.

Ruby/tawny in color with dried cherry and caramel on the nose, loads of dark dried fruits on mid-palate, finishes a little hot with more berry fruits, fig, fruitcake and even some tropical fruit flavors

Clean as a whistle. Medium weight. Fresh nose of Kirsch. Palate equally lithe. Just delightful.

Drunk over 3 days from D+4. Pretty consistent throughout - dark with a slight hint of orange - elegant legs - a lot of heat in the nose, hiding violets and blackberries - succulent in the mouth - balance of fruits, a little jam, decent acid, hints of tannin - hits the stomach with a lot of heat, after which the finish lingers nicely for quite a while. Many years in this yet, but right now it's a fine young …

2013 Port Harvest Tour; 9/27/2013-10/6/2013 (Porto, Portugal) : ottled in 1995. Almost Tawny-like in color - amber with hints of brown. Light red fruit on the nose. Rich mouthfeel with balanced tannins and acidity. Strawberry notes on the palate, with some age/oak noticeable on the finish (reminiscent of Douro bake)

Purple in color. Whoa! Lovely nose of violets, camphor, incense, black currants and blackberries. Well integrated palate with good balance to the sweet dark berry liquer, tannin and acidity. There is a lovely lingering violet perfume in the mouth. This is a nice surprise.

Not especially dark. Smelling of red fruits and eucalyptus. Relatively light-bodied. A little lean and green on the palate. This is nearly ready.

Spicy, balanced, concentrated, long. This should age very nicely for 10+ years.
