Delicious wine with a lot of fullness in flavor and body. It is aging well and still has lots of fruit. An intriguing Amarone...lots to taste.

Très très bien, un peu de fruits, épices, de l'équilibre, vraiment exemplaire. Encore solide.

Nicely balanced Amarone. Not to heavy or ”jammy”. Smooth with just enough acidity.

Thin. Lack of fruit and heat from the alcohol. An off bottle?

This is good stuff. I think I probably robbed the cradle by opening it, as it tastes very young. It's deliciously full of life, but probably is meant to settle into a older, more mature personality...in about 4 years at the earliest, or much further out in years, like 15 or 20. I will try not to open the other bottles before the 10-year mark for sure. For now, it has the classic Amarone flavors and is almost syrupy, like …

Pretty early still I think, but this is really good with all of the Amarone spice and lots of depth. A very good introduction to what Amarone should be at an approachable price.

It’s drinking so fresh. Needs a bit more time but so well balanced.

This wine never fails to amaze me!! I (we) love it!! So happy that I have so much on hand! Tonight, we decided to go for the Amarone rather than the Monte Santoccio Ripasso that we usually drink.! WOW!

Brief note. Youthful, tight nose giving away mostly browned butter, butterscotch and toasty oak. Some prune, raisin and dark chocolate coming through with time in the glass. Tight on the palate too with serious structure and long drying finish. Maybe a bit too early to make a fair judgement.

Pleasing but didn't find it particularly interesting. Tasted like a California cabernet.

This wine is made by Nicola Ferrari who spent years working with Giuseppe Quintarelli who was responsible for the famous $500 Quintarelli Amarone. Quntarelli died recently and Nicola Ferrari now has the knowledge to make that spectacular Amarone! I bought 6 bottles at $70 each and the prices will probably skyrocket when word gets out! As of now, no reviews are yet available for the Monte Santochio, but I bet it will rate 95 or better when Parker gets a …
