Nose is earthy and musty. Flavors are also earthy with notes of tobacco. Finish is somewhat tannic or astringent, but not in an overlypleasant way. There is something about this wine that is off. As other commenters noted, wine seems almost as if corked, but I don't believe it is.

Pretty decent lighter bodied Syrah, pretty red and black berry fruit, a little smoke. Fun if not complex

Dark at the core and light purple at the edge. Very juicy and a bit tannic. Red & black fruits intermixed. Strong acidity. Good with lamb shanks.

Not a noteworthy wine, would not buy again, maybe we are all victims of poor shipping or storage conditions prior to purchase?

Medium purple color...big nose of berries and smoke. On the palate, a big burst of crushed berry fruit and some tart plum that kept it fresh. This saw some new oak, I would think, and is styled more like an Aussie Shiraz than CdR, but it's tasty and would go great with BBQ.

This was the first wine I liked enough to buy a solid case of. The wine was fairly simple syrah, with nice fruit flavors, and very enjoyable. It was reasonably priced, and very drinkable.

An average table wine. Not much nose. Some fruit, some mushroom, fair body, short but pleasant finish. Worth the price. Will try second bottle next year but do not expect it to improve.

Something was amiss with this wine. At first it was simple with a strange nutty element. With time this nuttiness took over the wine in an astringent way. I am confident that this wine was cooked some time in its life.
