2017 Menade Rueda Verdejo (Spain) This Verdejo (one of my favourite varietals) is deep gold with a full on grapefruit and hayloft nose. There’s a citrus tsunami of grapefruit and lime flavour, spiced with wisps of grass and chalk. Imagine Sauvignon Blanc’s twisted cousin. Straw yellow colour. Yellow tropical fruits and flowers on the nose. Taste of yellow tropical fruits with hints of minerals. Light and dry finish. Pretty straight forward and fruit driven wine. Goes well with shellfish and fish.

Yellow and white fruits, pineapple and grapefruit, discrete spicy touch, lovely mineral component, very fine and prominent fruity acids, during the second day the bitterness at the end of the middle palet was a touch too dominant, but crazy QPR

An organic Verdejo. On nose:flint ,sea salt and green pear skin. On palate: all of the above, with elements of fresh lemon and ripe honeydew as it warms up ....light bodied and a fine dry white to drink with shellfish and ceviche...a classic hot weather wine.
