Flannery NY…. Bright fruit, slight tartness, herbal potpourri and slight earth.Lovely….slightly sour cherries, dark red plum, applecran are the key flavors. Fruit is winning! Oak has gone to background. Color is definitely going brown but not showing yet on palate. Best to drink em now if you still have them. Impressed, as Bonny’s has really not been my favorite in the past.

Starting to show its age. Still nice savory fruit, full bodied and nice acidic balance but the tannins are pretty much gone and the cassis notes were moving in the direction of cough syrup. I waited too long but still enjoyed it.

Herbaceous, a bit tart, blackberries, blackcurrant, still feels not yet fully mature and lacking the seductive nature of mature top cali cabs… I will wait until 2025 with further bottles

Magnum - bottle and cork in good condition. Disappointed with this bottle as we have very much enjoyed the 1991 Napa (not Bonny’s) in regular format. When cork pulled, noticed slight sweet smell of corked/madierized. It never left the nose despite 2-3 hours of decanting. Strong taste of green pepper and spicy notes. Certainly drinkable but a bit off.

I love it. Great tannins and dry with berries. Best time with friends. Need to decant for ten minutes for better taste. It is cabernet sauvignon. Not much strong acidity. The color is deep and great pairing with beef and ribs.

Nose of black cherry, bell pepper, and a touch of barnyard, same on the palate, very tasty, mouth filling fruit, delicious and elegant, lovely for 28 years old, time to enjoy and looking forward to my magnums of this wine, long, long finish and aftertaste. Uploaded photo, note sediment coating bottle sides.

Heeding my own advice to drink soon, decided to crack open a 2nd bottle on consecutive nights, finding substantially similar notes but this one slightly bolder with more fruit which was enjoyable. Can see this being a 92.

Elegant and smooth, fruit beginning to wane slightly although still a perfect pairing for an Asian stir-fry meal and still bears all characteristics of a Napa cab. Suggest drinking up soon.

From magnum. Perfect fill, perfect cork. As others have noted, huge amounts of dill on the nose mixed with some bits of mint/eucalyptus and then green pepper poking through after a bit of airtime. Very nicely balanced. Great showing for this wine.

With a decant and air plus food, this wine really showed well. There was dill and smoky vanilla present on the nose, but the wine really tasted great. Great fruit, some mineral notes and a long finish.

This is a very good wine the first day. Usually I can vacuum seal these and still be pretty good the second day. Not sure if it was an oversight on my part or the wine but almost unprintable the second day. In addition to being sealed it was stored in my euro cave.

Excellent Oakville Cabernet. Graphite and slate on the nose. Slight earthy taste on the palate. Bought it at Costco for $34. Incredible value. Headed back to get more.

Huge amount of dill on the nose. Clear indication of american oak. Some other vegies, but minor in comparison. Otherwise well balanced. Fruit pretty diminished. Drink now. PDQ91+

Tasted with a group of Bordeaux. Pleasant and signature Silver Oak. Not as much fruit as other 1991's.

15 BOTTLES OF SILVER OAK 1986 TO 1992 (Walnut Creek, Ca.) : Silver Oak Tasting of 15 wines. On the nose, very rich fruit, very herbal, sweet and sour nose, slight orange color in the glass, good glycerin, fruit is simple, pleasant, needs cellar time to peak, stemmy fruit tasting but delicious, nice, medium/long finish. My #6 tied of 15.

Hot Basement Tasting @ Howard's (Westport) : Tossed salad... Asparugus, brocolli, and green peppers. Green aromas, but it tasted better than it smelled. Still... it was tough to get over the green aromas
