Lunch with the wine ark boys (Chubby Cheeks, Paddington) : Red and blue berries, earthy with slightly jubey notes, savoury, mineral underpin. Juicy medium plus intensity acidity, very slight funky (almost Bretty?) notes, red and blue berry, fresh, chalky tannins are drying though the fruit persists long. Nice.

Went in with no expectations, 11 year old Blaufrankisch, pleasantly surprised. Good structure, retained its fruit and secondary notes well. If someone guaranteed me same bottle consistency I'd purchase again. Don't drink much Blaufrankisch so don't have a barometer to judge against, whether this is typical region expression, etc.

red ruby blood plum in appearance with gorgeous perfumed nose of dark cherry and wild strawberries and blackberries, a little currant with mineral notes of wet stone, schist and spicy white pepper. Wine & Spirits Top 100 Tasting (City Walk @ Metreon, San Francisco, CA) : Nice blend of red fruit, spice, quite aromatic; palate is medium bodied, approachable smooth tannins, excellent red fruit, nice spice throughout; medium-plus finish. Excellently drinking now and in the future. 92-94

Excellent summer red wine with fresh acidity and bright fruit flavors of cherries and acidic blackberries, no tannins. Perfect balance for such an entry level wine. Best vintage of this wine I have tasted so far. Best on day one. - 89 points

Savoury nose. Black cherry. Simple, but quite nice.

Black fruits and stony depth, a core of darkness with bright freshness & lift at the end. Liquid, fresh, enjoyable.
