Decanted two glasses from the bottle yesterday, then let the rest slow ox for Christmas Eve drinking. Today those two glasses are a perfect delicious, crunchy, dry, tart delight. These cool climate Nebbiolo, to me, are far more enjoyable than Burgundy. Not much nose at this point, but could pick out some lemon and raspberry. Palate is light with energy- and balance. Monti Perini Bramaterra 2016 fra Alto Piemonte med 80% nebbiolo og resten vespolina og uva rara. Fermentert med naturlig gjær, uten temperaturkontroll i «tine», en gammeldags vertikal tre-tank, i minst 18 måneder. Vinen er lett filtrert ved flasking og uten klaring. Produksjonen er liten og dessverre ikke tilgjengelig på polet. Men det er fint å bli minnet på at der er en verden nord for Alba-krysset i Piemonte også! Rød brilliant transparent farge, klar og ren.
