Domaine de Cassan Beaumes-de-Venise Cuvée St. Christophe

The 2014 St. Christophe is well-crafted, and while exhibiting no immediate flaws the fruit flavors on the palate are understated and overcome by the wine's acid. This results is a strong sense of dryness. It is a lean effort that offers aromas of wild flowers, mint and smoke and is meant for near-term drinking over the next 3 years.
