Lighter in colour and body than expected. Also a little drier than expected for a Hugel PG; did not have the 'oily' texture that some have. Seems fully mature, drinking well now, notes of ginger and orange peel for me....but subtle. A decent food wine as expected, though perhaps a little overshadowed by a venison casserole (opened for the non red drinkers we had) and perhaps a little more assertive would have been welcome. Finish was decent but not lengthy. …
