Durant and Booth Malbec

Drank this blind. A pop n pour. Boysenberry nose and rich dark ruby red. N5 hl4 fd3 t6.5 f 6 Dry in the finish. A very well made Malbec. The acidity comes through in the finish and this may integrate with time.

Deep ruby red that completely coats the glass. Layered nose with dark spices, cocoa, a bit dusty, dark raspberries, brown sugar and some oak influence. A bit of anise on day two as well. Medium tannins (6.5/10) and medium bodied. Complex dark fruits with dark cranberries, boysenberry jam and a bit candied two. A touch of cherry cough syrup on day one that dissipated with some air. Undertone of some sweet spices too. Dry medium length finish. Drink till 2021.
