Cracked this open last night and finished it today. Once again, a pleasant surprise. Not sure about the residual sugar level, but it tastes relatively dry to me and there is good acid. Good balance overall. I typically haven’t liked Riesling from California, but this is a cut above. Lovely fruit, and some minerality in the nose. Nice clean finish. Aging nicely too. 4-12-16-8: 90/100.

White, dry Riesling, citrus and lightly floral; crisp, with balanced fruit and acidity. Paired with orange-ginger chicken tonight.

I haven't loved these wines from SH in the past, but this one strikes all the right chords with me today. Delicate light golden-yellow. Pure white flower nose. Nice balance of fruit and acidity, and the tiny percentage of RS is just right. Long, pretty finish. Best white Riesling yet from SH in my experience. 4-12-16-8: 90/100.

Airy nose of floral notes and nectarines. The palate was nice - crisp and vibrant. Good balance, nice length. Seemed to deliver.

Tasted at a trade tasting in NYC. Unfortunately for Stony Hill I began tasting this immediately after tasting the lineup of Donnhoff 2018 Rieslings, which I consider to be among the best in the world...needless to say this paled by comparison. It seemed thin and lacking freshness. Certainly not a bad wine but too warm a climate for really great Riesling
