Lovingly poured by winery owner, Don Byard—I don't think the winery exists anymore, and so drinking this was like drinking a piece of history. The fill height was low, cork crumbled, and it was amber colored in the glass. Despite oxidation, there were still redeeming qualities. An echo of fruit, pear and apple cloaked in honeyed sweetness. In this case, the experience was more lovely than the wine itself.

Older Bordeaux at St. Jack : The label really did say "White Riesling." I forget what the RS was on this, but it was high. The aromas are of weeds... just a mix of weeds growing in a garden. More grassy notes on the palate with a really soft texture. Nice soft acid that builds on the finish like a green apple. Quite a simple wine, but still enjoyable.

Aged Bordeaux (Restaurant St. Jack) : Rancio on the nose. on the palate really soft red delicious apple, then finishing with lime, but not very acidic lime, just lime.
