Just opened this wine after a 3 year gap and was curious to see how it was travelling. 2 hours decanter. Yes, there is still fruit but it is soft and elegant. The tannins also delicate, but layered and you have to wait for them after a long finish. After 8 years this wine just keeps getting better.

Pleasant, but light and easy-drinking for a Cab Sauv. The nose reminds me of bourbon, which I guess comes from the oak? Lacks the fruit and body I would expect.
