Plum Plum Plum!!! This Nero d'Avola and Frappato opened up within 30 minutes to a plum spectacle. Not much else there. Certainly past its prime but still plumtastic.

Nose: Raisins and Perfume..So hard to describe a wine like this without going into the poetic waxing... Mouth: Tastes like those strawberry puffed candies...Blueberry leather licorice... balsamic vinegar... black jelly beans... rasinated blackberry.. Jelly beans,... Fragrant... Strawberry Gum... Fruti Stripe Gum...!

A lovely wine, very fruity, medium bodied with a lovely sour cherry taste. A refreshing wine that always goes down well.

Fairly straightforward, doesn't merit the price tag compared to less expensive examples of this grape variety that I have enjoyed.

ligher body than expected. Lovely tabacco fruit forward smooth consistent. Jacob compared it to bordeaux blend style.

Sweet in a way I haven't experienced before, similar on the nose and palette ... can't think of a good word to place it ... kinda like a bittersweet candy, with hmm figs? Interesting (and pleasant) but not really my taste

Primary cherries. Straight forward and one dimensional. A well composed easy drinking wine in a very fruit forward style. Ok product, but I miss smells and tastes that makes wine interesting.

Confected and lacking in acidity. Lacks the tartness of a good rose but too sweet for a normal red wine. This is the perfect wine for those who find cru beaujolais too sour. Average and uninteresting.

Nose of sweet and faked strawberries + burned herbs. All in all this wine tasted somewhat fake and flashy. Don't like the unbalanced mouthfeel and the slightly bitter finish.

Decanter Fine Wine Encounter (The Landmark Hotel, London) : Made from a blend of Nero d'Avola and Frappato, this wine shows very sweet strawberry on the nose. The palate shows sweet red berry fruit and a hint of gooseberry. A pretty generic red.

The beaujolid boiled sweet nose is a bit of a shock at first, but actually there's a lot going on here - sour cherry fruit cutting the richness and it's really rather complex - modern, but delicious
