Medium dark garnet with a bit of bricking around the edges. Nose is big starting with a lot of beefy umami, tomato leaf, stewed blackberries, a bit of stewed raspberry, cloves, and various spices. Every now and then, the Umami note reminds me of a Burger King Whopper in a good way. A heavier body than I was expecting but spot on Pinot. Bold and fresh flavors of blackberries, raspberries, tomato and tobacco leaves, a bit of clove and cedar, …

Winebid.com Purchase. Super impressive wine. Color dark red. Touch of orange at the rim Nose. Super exotic. Barwood, cedar, clove, spices, stewed raspberries. Just awesome. Palate. Very rich for a pinot noir. Rich raspberry, blackberry, spices, and lots of other flavors. Very food friendly. There's a bit of an imbalance with the sugar and acidity. Its a yummy wine for sure. Its aged wonderfully.

This wine aged very well and was smooth and delicious. It paired excellent with grilled lamb chops with polenta and tomato sauce.

Very nice wine, not your usual Central Otago Pinot noir. Moderate depth of colour, not over-extracted, still youthful appearance. Rich, sweet fruit aroma with just the first hints of something savoury. The palate is excellent with great linear structure, exceptional blend of acid freshness and dusty tannins, more austere and mineral than most CO Pinots. Great!

pop and pour; expressive strawberries and red cherries scent; straightforward palate with spicy, mild acidity and finish with tar, coffee and earth; a lovely fruity PN; nice work

Not for the faint-hearted. Intense pinot nose with some animal notes: Gevrey on Steroids. Noticeably "new world". Very pleasing anyways. Strong palate as well: cooked fruits but some acidity saves the wine. Would be interesting to see how this ages...

Very complex nose with cherry, plum, dark chocolate and oaky tones. Palate was wonderfully deep with flavour and length, nice tannin structure and plenty of blackcurrant and plum characters.

Screw cap. Unfortunately too warm when served and came across flabby on both the nose and palate. Quite dark in colour. Nose revealed plum and dark cherry. Briary/crushed blackberry stalks were also evident with some mushroom. Palate not exciting - although acid present it did not give linear definition. This wine was enjoyed much more at the winery under proper serving conditions, so the poor showing is likely due to the serving temp. Not Rated.
