Bright red fruit on nose, juicy berries on palate Straightforward and easy drinking, nothing special

Yarra, Mornington, Geelong wine tour day two (Yarra Valley) : Red berry, biscuit, sweet spice, simple, clean but with a touch of alcohol prickle, slightly green notes, spicy, earthy, tangy. Medium plus intensity acidity, red berry, softly textured burr, s'okay.

Pale ruby colour. Medium and developing nose with red cherry, strawberry, forest floor, leather and charred wood. Medium taste of strawberry, red cherry, forest floor and charred wood. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Light tannins. Medium body. A very good Yarra Valley Pinot Noir. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well with pork or veal.

Australia vs New Zealand Pinot Noir (Prince Sydney, 40 Hansard Street) : Sweet spice, slightly jubey red berry, a little savoury spice underpin. Tangy, wetly juicy, a touch of fruit tea flavours and black tea tannins, simple, slightly dilute. Hmm

Medium ruby, smells of sweet cherries, cranberries, eucalyptus and vanilla. Tast of fresh red berries, cherries, herbaceous and spices. Med body, high acid. Warm spicy finish. Will probably be better in a few years.

Very nice straight forward Pinot. Cherry aroma and taste.
