Wineglass Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

nose: leather, whafting smoke, taste: fig finish: good

I have very fond memories of this wine and Wineglass was THE winery that got me into wine. It was very close to where I grew up and David and Linda are two of the greatest wine people you're likely to meet. This would've been a higher score had it not been for the funky, reductive odors on the nose. However, still very alive, slight bricking. Packed with good plum and cherry fruit with some moderate spice. Good length.

started out very tight, but as it opened up became pleasant drink.

nose was not that great. But once it had time to open up, this wine was lovely
